Our rigging specialists hold certificates of recognition from the Australian Yachting Federation for mast fabrication and rigging.

Rigging Services

Our rigging services includes:  
  • Mast and Booms
    Complete new rigs including design, fabrication, standing rigging, running rigging, electrical wiring and painting.

  • Standing Rigging
    Marlin Marine uses 316 grade Arcus 1 x 19 wire, and can swage up to 1/2 inch terminal end fittings.

  • Running Rigging
    Halyards using wire to rope or the high-tech low-stretch Spectra or Vectran cordage. All halyards are finished off with a soft whipped eye for easy installation into the mast section. Talurit pressings on both 1 x 19 and 7 x 19 wire can be done in-house or on site.

  • Halyards and Sheets
    Custom built to your requirements.

  • Spinnaker Poles
    Spinnaker pole sections are stocked, and we select and fit the appropriate pole ends, bridles and cordage.
  • Furlers
    Marlin Marine Rigging Services are specialists in supply, servicing and repair of all makes of furlers, including Furlex, Profurl etc.

  • Life Lines
    All life lines are supplied to current AYF standards.

  • Balustrading
    We supply stainless steel wire, including for balustrades outside and inside homes and commercial buildings.

  • Mooring Strops
    Up to 64mm x 8 strand square rope.

  • Rig Inspections
    Marlin Marine carries out rig inspections, and provides a written report on recommended repairs, and the degree of urgency.
    Both the AYF and insurance companies recommend annual rig inspections, in the interest of safety and reduced cost.
